What’s the fuss about?
In the recent report by “The Australian” a data leak shows that there has been over two million Chinese Communist Party (CCP) who are secretly embedded in bunch of Big corporations around the world which operate in Banking, Media, Pharma corporations, Aviation, Universities and even government agencies to name a few. This data leak exposes it open.
What happened?
The newspaper “The Australian” got hands on a leaked database which had names of over two million Chinese Communist Party (CCP) members. This database also included:
- Party position.
- national ID number.
- Ethnicity.
Companies like Boeing, Pfizer, Volkswagen, AstraZeneca, ANZ, Standard Chartered, HSBC are included in the database list where the active members of CCP work.
Why is it a big issue for companies and countries like US, UK, India and australia?
The Australian journalist and Sky news host Sharri Markson said, ” It is believed to be the first leak of its kind in the world.” she added,” What’s amazing about this database is not just that it exposes people who are now living and working all over the world, from Australia to the US to the UK, but it’s amazing because it lifts the lid on how the party operates under president and Chairman Xi Jinping.“
What kind of danger does this poses for corporations whose names are in the list?
According to the report, around 79,000 Chinese communist party branches have been set up inside such companies where their secretly active members would be answerable directly to CCP chairman and president Xi Jinping himself.
“It is also going to embarrass some global companies who appear to have no plan in place to protect their intellectual property from theft, from economic espionage,” Sharri Markson said.
