Google has recently updated its policy and it doesn’t look nice for anyone who run ads for their surveillance related services/solutions via google ads. Yes you heard it right. if you sell your service/solutions for surveillance you might be in trouble.

Google claims that the move aims to “prohibit the promotion of products or services that are marketed or targeted with express purpose of tracking or monitoring another person or their activities without their authorization.” The new restriction does not impact private investigation services or any products or services that allow parents to track or monitor their children online.

The update in the policy by Google will also hit the promotion or services that allow any kind of surveillance products like audio recorders, cameras, car camera etc with the sole purpose of spying.

Google has advised the advertisers to remove any kind of ads that fell into the category which can violate the policy, before august 11.
